Giulia Pusceddu (she/her) is a researcher in Cognitive Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction.
In 2025, she earned her Ph.D. with a dissertation titled “Group Dynamics in Human-Robot Interaction: Influence Patterns and Behavioral Responses”, focusing on improving cognitive architectures to enhance the quality of interactions between robots and human groups.
She strongly believes in the importance of embodiment as a means for robots to experience and understand the world.
Since 2024, she has served as Managing Director of the Human-Robot Interaction Steering Committee, which oversees the organization of the IEEE/ACM HRI international conference.
In 2022, she obtained a Master’s in Change Management from IANUA, an excellence program for the most outstanding students at the University of Genoa, which she attended alongside her university studies.
She graduated cum laude in Neuroengineering and Bio-ICT in 2020, defending her thesis “Investigation of Joint Action through Interaction with a Virtual Partner.”
She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Information Technology Club of Liguria since May 2023. Since 2020, she has been a Global Shaper in the Genoa Hub, serving as Curator in 2023–2024. In 2017, she co-founded Ianua Studenti e Alumni, a student organization she presided over from 2020 to 2021.
